Przegląd Statystyczny. Statistical Review was founded in 1937 by the Polish Statistical Society. From 1955 to 1973, it was the official journal of the Polish Economic Society’s Statistics Section. In the 1974-2017 period, it was administered by the Committee on Statistics and Econometrics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In 2019, it was included in the list of 500 scientific journals that received support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education within the "Support for Scientific Journals" programme.
For many years, PS has been the leading academic journal in Poland in the field of statistics, econometrics and operational research. Nowadays, its content is aimed at both theoreticians and practitioners. The journal publishes original research on theoretical and empirical topics in statistics, econometrics, mathematical economics, operational research, decision sciences and data analysis. High quality papers addressing significant issues in all branches of economics, finance and management are welcome. Review papers, shorter papers reporting on major scientific conferences in the field and reviews of seminal monographs are also eligible but only upon the Editor’s request.
Please note that PS publishes manuscripts in the English language.
