ABSTRACT

In the paper we compare market model of Gale (1960) presented in the book The Theory of Linear Economic Models (for finite set of indivisible goods) with the market model based on the college admission model of Gale and Shapley (1962). For the market model of Gale-Shapley type (which was presented in details by Świtalski, 2014) we characterize the set of vectors of equilibrium prices as a disjoint union of some n-dimensional rectangular parallelepipeds.
